If you are a list maker or require access to large databases of information while you are away from your desk or office, the HanDbase custom database application is just the ticket for you. You can search, sort, filter and print until your blue in the face. HanDbase handles it all! Synchronize your data across a variety of computers, including: Desktop, Handheld and of course your BlackBerry.DDH Software also makes available a large set of pre defined databases covering a wide variety of topics including: Weight Loss and Weight Watchers, Time and Attendance, Home To Do List, Recipes2000 and many more.
Pros: There are quite a few pros when it comes to the HanDbase database software for your BlackBerry. First off, installation is a snap and setting up a simple custom database is straight forward. If you want to get fancy with your database, there are tons of options made available to you. If you do not want to create your own database, there are many free options available to download that might suit your needs. Each of these is a filed out in advance and they are editable using the desktop component.
I also have to give credit to the support staff who addressed my issue with connectivity through Vista in a very timely manner.
Cons: The HanDbase software is a great buy for anyone who feels they may get some use out of it, but BlackBerry owners get the short end of the stick here. Due to a closed architecture of the RIM devices, a good deal of the functionality that is available through other builds is missing. Specifically the ability to edit your databases through the BlackBerry. It is really a pain to have to go back to the PC and make any required changes to your data.

Ease of download and installation: Installing the HanDbase database software onto your BlackBerry is accomplished in a few simple steps. Follow the instructions below.
- Download the HanDbase installation file and double click on it.
- Accept the user agreement and choose a location to install the desktop component on your computer.
- Follow the instructions and install any of the available features you require.
- Once the HanDbase desktop component has been installed, Desktop Manager will launch automatically.
- Plug in your BlackBerry via USB and follow the onscreen instructions.
