DocHawk Platinum is a well executed piece of software that enhances your BlackBerry's ability to process, edit and view various graphical attachments. DocHawk Platinum supports all of the common email attachments, including Office 2007 versions of Word, Power Point, and Excel documents.

With DocHawk Platinum you can view thumbnails of your email PDF's and Office docs prior to opening them. You also have the ability to pan and zoom your documents without changing their original presentation layout.

Pros: The DocHawk Platinum software finally lets you access and update Office 2007 file formats using your BlackBerry. This is a great feature, you are no longer limited to the '03 formats. With support for Word, Excel, and PDF's, DocHawk Platinum can handle it all.

With DocHawk Platinum you can save all of your attachments locally so that you can access them in areas where there is low network coverage.

With a price tag of $59.95, knowing that the DocHawk Platinum support staff was on hand to assist with any problems should they arise (even during the trial period) was comforting.

Cons: There is currently no ability to rotate documents fo easier viewing. I would also like to see a smoother implementation of the zoom feature where I could set the zoom to 33%, 60% etc instead of the rigid preset zoom options.

Comcast customers who wish to use the DocHawk Platinum software will have to change their delivery method in order to circumvent Comcast delivery issues.

Ease of download and installation: Installing the BBSmart Email Viewer software onto your BlackBerry is accomplished in a few simple steps. Follow the instructions below.

Download the Doc Hawk Platinum installation files.
Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager > Application Loader.
Choose Add and navigate to the appropriate file folder for your OS.
Select the folder for your type of BlackBerry device and click on the DocHawkClient.alx file > Click Next
