You can use both MicroSD cards and MicroSDHC cards in your Curve 8900. A good list of compatible cards can be found here:

bassman, you should be able to do all that with BlackBerry Desktop Manager. If not, you can connect your BB to your computer. When it asks you on your Berry if you want to use Mass Storage Mode, say yes. You'll be able to manually drag your documents onto the drive.

I have bought a microSD card, however, I have limited functionality with it. I would like use it to store docs to read however, I can't find a decent software to do it. I can see attachments in email, however, I just want to use this as a mobile computer etc. I realize that I can put music on it etc. but I want productivity, functionality. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Does the card capacity only depend on the OS? For example, I'm running 4.5.0.102 on my 8100. Can I bump up to an 8mb card or am I limited to the 2mb size due to the phone being an 8100?

I can't recall, Jim, which OS came with my Curve. It was 4.3.0.something. Yes, it can be upgraded to .81, but I think you have to find it from another carrier.
