@Julie - have you resent the Host Routing Tables? That is almost surely your problem - other than that you have to contact your customer service and may need a new phone.

None of the solutions worked for my BlackBerry 8330 either, Joe. I've sent my books twice, done a battery pull and nothing.

If you do not see the Desktop(CMIME) in your service books all you need to do is log into your BIS account and resend the service books.

THNAK YOU SO VERY MUCH , THIS FIXED MY ISSUES This one is solved with the good old service books method. I read some more intricate processes on the Internets, but none of those steps were really necessary. Immediately after receiving the error, I logged into my BIS, clicked on Service Books, and had them sent. And, uh, that’s it.

I can now reply to messages and compose them just as normal. I’m not sure why this happened in the first place; I was easily able to compose messages earlier yesterday. If anyone can identify a possible source, that would be great. For BIS users, though, this is the solution. For BES users, it appears you’ll have to generate a new encryption key. You can do this by going to the Service Books on your handheld (Options — Advanced Options — Service Book) and deleting the Desktop (CMIME) service book.
