What to do if you don’t have BlackBerry Internet Browser

Panic struck me last night. After watching the Rays take Game 2 of the World Series, I pulled out my BlackBerry to check a few stats. There it was — or there it wasn’t. The icon for my BlackBerry Browser had disappeared. I poked around for a bit, checking for hidden icons, but with no luck. I tried to launch NextPimp, and I got an error. This is horribly frustrating for anyone. So, instead of whining about it, I went home and figured out how its done. Solution after the jump..

You’ll go to Options, then Advanced Options, then to Host Routing Table. Hit Menu, and then select Register Now. I was told you have to scroll all the way to the bottom, which takes a bit. I’d do that just to be safe. Once you do, though, you’ll get a message in your Inbox saying your BlackBerry has been registered with the Internet, and bam. You’re set.

Warning: This also restored the Facebook application, which may or may not cause the hourglass icon to show up and lag your BlackBerry.
