If you are still looking how to enable / disable "Dial from homescreen"... at least on a one day old OS 6.0 on a Bold 9700 - I just found it:
[icon] Setup
Options
Display
Home Screen Preferences
Launch by typing
[select] "Application Shortcuts"

hey, my trackball is giving me problems so until i change it, I know a few shortcuts to like read messages and navigate through bbm but on my home screen, although I do the alt - shift to choose the options, not all the applications are coming up. How do i function with the keypad to view all applications.
