@Mollie – If you turn off data while roaming you will not have access to your BBM unless you are hooked up on wifi.

If you use the BBM on anything but a wifi connection you will be charged fees for roaming data usage.

If I turn my data off ; will I receive all my emails & mms sent to me while the data was off once I turn the data back on ?

My firm uses Exchange email but does not use BB Enterprise Server. I tested Network off and it worked on stopping both email and text messages. But upon re-connection, all emails (including the ones read and deleted from desktop) piled in, but not the missed text messages (I sent one during off setting to test function). Any other solution to stop there while in office, short of hooking device to desktop? Thanks.

steven, SMS will still work. That works on the voice switch.

If I switch off Data services while roaming, can I still use voice and SMS while roaming?

Joe – I want to do this but I don’t think the feature is not on the 7290? I went to my bb account online and changed the “forward data to device” No more data came to my BB but the charges continued. Suggestions?

Cindy, you should still get text messages, but not MMS if you turn off data.
