One feature we’ve seen on every BlackBerry model since the 88xx series is a camera. It makes enough sense. After all, consumers are willing to pay for the ability to snap low- to mid-res pictures on their phones. We’ve gone over how to send pictures while using BlackBerry Messenger. Today we’ll go through the process for any image on your device memory of SD card.

Go to the media application, and scroll over to select Pictures. You could select one of the preloaded pictures, but that’s no fun, so click My Pictures.

Here you can select a picture from your device memory or from your memory card. You can also choose the Camera option and snap a new photo. If you want to select a preexisting photo, either find it in the list below, or click through to a directory. Let’s do this Choose Your Own Adventure style.

If Camera: If you want to snap a new photo to send, select Camera from the list. This will open your camera application (you can accomplish the same effect by just opening the camera app from your desktop). Point, snap. You will then see your picture, with a few icons below it. Select the one to the far right, which kind of looks like an envelope.

You’ll get a prompt asking you to send it as email, MMS, or Messenger contact. Select the appropriate one. For email it will open up a message with the picture as an attachment. For MMS it will show up in the message’s body. For Messenger contact you select the appropriate name from your list, and say OK when prompted.

If Preexisting Pic: Either click into a directory or select a picture from the list. One you select the appropriate image and it’s on your full screen, click Menu. Scroll down a bit and you’ll see the three options: Send As Email, Send as MMS, Send to Messenger Contact. Select the appropriate one, and you’re set.

Bonus: If you have it installed, you can use this method to send through UberTwitter.
