How many email addresses do you have on your BlackBerry? I’ve got three. Yet, when I added them, my ‘Berry picked one as the default account to send mail from. It’s my work email, so it’s all good. Though every time I want to send something from my Gmail, I have to go switch the Send From field. Some people, I imagine, would like to change their default email address. After the jump we’ll go over the simple procedure.
Like many of our quick tips, this one will take you to Options, then Advanced Options. There you’ll click on Default Services. This takes you to a screen with two options: Messaging and Calendar. You can select your default services for each from among your synced email addresses.

I am unable to set me default email (I have three email accounts) as described. I get it that I need to go to “options”. Where do I find “options” from the home page? I need a step by step explanation from the home page. Thank you.

This still doesn’t work for me! is there any other way?
I am on Verizon and up until last week my email account was fine, now it keeps using the blackberry.net account as default, even though my default is my personal email. I have to manually change it each time. Any clues?

It doesn’t work for me. I have set the default address (using my yahoo mail),
but when i write the TO address:
- to my friend’s office mail (the default changed to my office mail)
- to my friend’s gmail (the default changed to my email other than yahoo and office mail)
any clue?
PS: i’m using BB9000 v4.6.0.216
I want to change my email not to switch the user please help I have an account on my phone that I don’t want and I want to put another one on please reply :)

You’ll have to login to your BIS account and view your email accounts. There’s an icon to delete an email address, and there’s a link to add one.
Hey. i have the blackberry pear, and my messenger wont work. ive been on options, advanced options, default services but nothing comes up after that. i wanted to find an email that i might have used but i dont know what it was. please help!
i got a blackberry pearl from someone and i cant get her email address off of it or add mine to it, i did everything the “help” option said yet nothing. what do i do?
