@azakins - that indicates you have two new facebook messages / notifications.

If you have already been through your facebook updates etc then it may be a custom theme causing the problem. If you are using a custom theme I suggest swapping back to a default theme and doing a battery pull. When the device comes back on the notification should be back to normal. You can then go back to using a custom theme again.

I also have a "new email" icon that says I have 3 unread messengers but I've gone through the accounts and marked all as open but the illusive three are still at large..please help!
I am an idiot, sorry to bother you. I didn't think to "scroll up" to find the Browser Message folder. Problem solved and thank you all again.

Thanks for the great information in this string. I have had the annoying globe icon for awhile with a 7 beside it. I have gone to messages/view folder/WAP Push Messages (do not have Browser Messages) and it's empty. Nothing I do gets rid of the darn globe icon. Anything else I can try or am I missing something? Thanks!

To fix this just do a battery pull while the device is on.

Wait 30 second and then replace the battery - should be all fixed.
