@Bold I am not sure if you can change them like this in OS6 – try changing them here:

Set up speed dial for a contact

1. From the Home screen, press the Send key.
2. Press the Image of the Menu key key > View > Speed Dial List.
3. In the Speed Dial Numbers list, click an unassigned key.
4. Click a contact.
5. If necessary, click a phone number for the contact.

Is there a way to change the speed dial “w” from voice mail on the Blackberry Bold 9650? The work around above does not work on this phone. HELP!!

This works, but upon a reboot/battery pull, A/W/Q default back to Lock/VoiceMail/Vibrate.

When I hold down the “A” key on my 8330 it asks if I want to assign a speed dial to it.

Mark, upon a cursory glance, it doesn’t appear you can return A to lock after you change it, nor can you assign lock to another key. I’ll add that to the post.
