Lots of big things going on with RIM this week, as they were active at CTIA. We got the announcement of the BlackBerry Pearl 8220 flip phone, which has been long anticipated. RIM also announced the BlackBerry 8350i for the iDEN network. Problem is, we knew about these devices long ago, and we still don’t have the most important bit of information: release date. Is the rampant rumor mill going to change the way companies like RIM announce devices?

After talking about the nature of device announcements, we turn to the Storm. We should be hearing about this from RIM in the not-so-distant future. Until then, we have the Storm video (same link as the 8220 announcement above). So the whole screen’s a button, eh? I’m not sure what to think, other than: I want one now so I can play!

Hey! The BBGeeks co-branded Viigo 3.0 feed reader is out in beta. So check it out! Cooper and I review the reader, and it comes out scoring very well. Honestly, with all the reviews we do at BBGeeks, I cycle through applications like crazy. Viigo, however, stays on. It’s just too good, too informative to blow off when I need memory space.
