Good show this week, as I sat down with Simon from BlackBerry Cool to talk about GPS in the Canadian wireless industry. We also went over some new releases from the past week, including yet another hoax. For you Twitter fans, there’s a bit about the TwitterBerry application, which we recently reviewed.

Highlights include:

First and foremost, we talked about a few new releases. First is Sprint’s rumored release of the Curve 8330. This should be set for mid- to late-April. Without confirmation from Sprint, though, I’m a bit wary of betting on it. We do know that T-Mobile released the 8820 this week, complete with GPS and WiFi. Don’t believe the rumors that they rolled out the Pealr 8120, though. That’s still on tap for an April 14th release — hopefully.

I also found a 9000 series rumor this morning, but it was not a good one. It appears we’ll be waiting a couple of extra months for the roll-out, which is now looking like July or August. This could be worse news, as Apple is rumored to have ordered 10 million iPhones, presumably that will run on 3G.

Yes, I talked about the TwitterBerry app, even though Rae found a number of faults in it. I suppose it’s good enough for now. I also talked about the Blip social network, which is a geo-location-based one.

Furthering the GPS discussion, I talked to Simon of BlackBerry Cool about what it’s like up in Canada.
