New device rumors means a longer BBGeekcast. We heard news about the Niagra, the Gemini, and the up-and-coming Pluto. You know, the one that combines the mechanical keyboard and the touchscreen. Sorry to say, but the news on one of those three devices appears to be a hoax. You’ll have to listen to find out.

There was a bit of controversy during the week over an image of the BlackBerry 99xx. One site found it, another thought it was Photoshopped. That’s going to happen a lot with new devices. Still, it led to a new discovery, so at least some good came of it.
It looks like the BlackBerry Niagra — the 9630, officially — will drop at Sprint during the third quarter. This is according to their roadmap, which leaked this week. Verizon is also expected to sell the device, probably around the same time as Sprint. It got a preliminary review this week, and it looks like the BlackBerry CDMA users have been waiting for.
