The 3G iPhone was announced on Monday, and took the Internet by storm. But another story cropped up on that very day: The first real picture of the BlackBerry Thunder. So it’s time to talk about how the Thunder is going to hold its own in an iPhone world.

So click on over here to hear the BBGeekcast (9 min, 46 sec)

And don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast so you won’t miss future episodes!

You can also subscribe to the BBGeekcast in iTunes.

Highlights include:

Boy Genius Report, crazy kids they are, uncovered evidence of some more BlackBerry models. The highlight is Seawolf, which is quite a cool name. They also uncover evidence of the Javelin, Thunder (Storm), and one we haven’t seen yet: Aurora.

BlackBerry added a flickr app. Should make the going easier for the photo sharers out there.

The BB Facebook app finally dropped the “is”. It’s amazing how much time and how many words we’ve spent on a freakin’ linking verb.

Is BlackBerry driving our nation’s leaders apart? They might be divided, but it sure isn’t because of the smartphones they use.

And, of course, a diatribe on what the Thunder needs to be in order to compete with the iPhone.
