Well, the Curve 8520 was announced this week, so we’ve got a rundown of that. It includes a hefty price discrepancy between T-Mobile retail and Wal-Mart outlets and a CDMA version coming later this year. Plus, a few other tidbits, like a Verizon app store.

So click on over here to hear the BBGeekcast (9 min, 34 sec)

Highlights include:

Verizon’s app store should be a cool one, though it won’t necessarily compete with App World. See, Verizon and RIM teamed up, so Verizon’s app store will be pre-loaded on all new BlackBerry devices. Users can download App World, but they don’t have to. Advantage: Verizon. Not only because of the pre-loading, but because the store uses the carrier’s billing platform, so users can just download and add it to their cell bills.

While you’re waiting for that, make sure to check out the BBGeeks on-device app store. It’ll tide you over and then some.
