It’s all about the Curve. That’s the discussion of the day, week, and month. That is, until it’s released. Then, I suppose, we’ll move onto the next BlackBerry model. Most likely, it will be the BlackBerry Bold for CDMA. Sprint looks to be in. Will Verizon be?

Highlights include:
We learned a few new things about the Curve 8900 this week. First, the February 11 release date is all but confirmed. It was printed on a memo. Thing is, the memo’s intention was aimed at business users. These lucky chaps will get to buy the device on January 19. They have an option for a one-year renewal at $249.99, though that option might not be available to consumers. For us, it looks like $199.99 on a two-year contract.
Don’t think T-Mobile gets to have all the fun. RIM toted around an AT&T-branded model at CES, indicating that the nation’s No. 2 carrier will have the device soon enough. But with their downgraded 2G network, will it really sell?
All that, plus an update on the Presidential BlackBerry, in the Geekcast.
