Highlights include:

We’ve got the T-Mobile release of the BlackBerry Curve 8900. This came out for business customers a few weeks ago, and now is available to consumers. It’ll cost you $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate at a T-Mobile dealer, but you might be able to get it cheaper at Best Buy. Hey, if it’s good enough for Om Malik, it’s good enough for us.

The BlackBerry 9300 got its first preview this week, though it is not codenamed Gemini. Not that it really matters. As we learned with the Storm/Thunder fiasco, the codename within RIM is never the same as the official release name. Given RIM’s tendencies with newer devices, there’s a chance we could see this one dubbed the Curve as well. It’s a GSM device, and will feature a bigger and higher res display than the Bold. I’m liking it already. For a frame of reference, consider it a 3G Curve.

RIM’s been picking up subscribers this quarter, despite a gloomy economic situation. Their profits aren’t as high as one might hope, but as said on News From The Wire, I can see a short-term focus on subscribers over profit working out for RIM in the long term.
