Happy Holidays from us at BBGeeks. We learned some things this week, including RIM’s plans for 2009. So listen up while we run down all the BlackBerry news and views from the week.

Highlights include:

Looks like RIM really does plan to introduce three EVDO models in 2009: the equivalents of the Bold, Curve 8900, and Pearl flip. A slider Storm could be in the works, as well as a touchscreen Bold. Plus, a new line of 3G Pearls and a 3G Curve. Sounds like RIM is ambitious about the new year.

We also learned about the new OS, 5.0, which could hit shelves next year. Most of the new features we’ve learned about deal with folder management, though there are rumored upgrades to the email view.

Oh, and we have a new release date for speculation: February 18 for the Curve 8900 on T-Mobile. I’m sure we’ll get weekly revisions of that estimate.
