Highlights include:
RIM kicked things off with a bang, announcing App World on the eve of CTIA. We’ve known about this for a while, and this was the logical launch date. This could be a big development, as now users will have an iPhone-like ability to download cheap or even free apps on the go. Now if they only had 99 cent and $1.99 apps…
MobiHand actually came out of the gates a tick earlier, offering an on-device version of their popular app store. Combine the two and you have a robust community of BlackBerry applications. Better buy a new media card to hold all your new stuff.
Oh, and we got our first set of WES rumors. Be prepared for more and more of these over the next month, as rumors and news are the bread and butter of the BBGeekcast.
