I just bought the BB Bold 9700. Still no two way sync with gmail.com using the email application of BB with true pushmail.

Very frustrating. Complaints go back till beginning of 2008 that this isn't possible!

JJ, there's a rumor circulating that two-way Gmail sync will be in BIS 3.0, which should hit early next year.

Still waiting for this... the gmail app drains my battery like having a hairdryer attached and would love to be using the native message app. Is there any news?

I have noticed yesterday and today that when I delete something in my gmail inbox, it will disappear from my blackberry. Not instantly, but within about 30 mins. I am using the enhanced gmail plugin with Google Apps.

Nice! About time RIM, really, about time. How many wasted hours marking read on my bb, after I already read the message in Gmail.

Woo-hoo! This will be great! Since I have migrated my work e-mail to my gmail account (yes, the work e-mail is that badly run) this will be a great help. Thanks!

It's not two way because marking an e-mail read on GMail won't mark it as read in your blackberry.

I'm not super tech oriented, but wasn't the getting gmail through BIS now close to real-time and two way? It looks to me like the app is at least a temporary step backwards. Happy to be told I'm wrong.
