Touching on the Bold and the Javelin

Posted by Joe on July 11, 2008

There’s some good news, bad news over at BlackBerryNews this morning. The good news, and I don’t see why this is breaking, is that AT&T is starting their BlackBerry Bold employee training. You’d think this means we’re set for a release in the near future. The bad news, of course, is that the rumored release doesn’t fall into what many would call the “near future.” Late August/early September is the latest word, and I’m inclined to believe it. This is AT&T, after all.

At BerryReview, you can check out some more pics of the BlackBerry Javelin. I’d post them here, but they’re not really anything new. You can just check out the video.

For some news on the Javelin, Ronen tells us that instead of a mini-USB jack like we’re used to, the Javelin will feature a micro-USB connector. Yes, that means you can’t use your current charger with the Javelin. Booooo. Ronen himself puts it best: “I guess RIM is hoping to make a killing on adapters…” Hells yes, they are.
