Leave it to the Boy Genius Report to give us the good news/bad news of the day. While we try not to run with too many rumors on BBGeeks, the ones we’ve heard from BGR have been fairly accurate in the past. So it comes with great regret to inform you that one day after posting a monstrous review of the BlackBerry Bold, BGR is hearing that we might not see the device on shelves until September (I almost typed December there…though it wouldn’t be surprising at this point). They do note that the device could be released earlier, but tests aren’t going that well. So does that mess up things for the supposed July 25th release on Rogers?
For those interested, a Thunder rumor/update after the jump.
Still, overall this isn’t great news. RIM talked up the Bold in mid-May, and now we’re at mid-July, with a release not coming for at least another month. There’s something to be said for delivering ahead of expectations.

Man.RIM is doing a great job with the blackberry brand, regardless of delays. If Motorola delayed some of their phones and put some thought into them, they may have had more sucessful phones, and not just the RAZOR(which was insanely popular). Delays aren’t bad, they’re just a chance to get things right, and maybe even add some cool features.
Except TMO Germany is sticking with a July release date for the Bold….
