T-Mobile reveals the rest of the year in BlackBerry

What’s the coolest part about being a BlackBerry geek? As your high school teacher might have said once or twice, there are no wrong answers. But for me, it’s getting geeked over new device releases. We have a pretty good idea of what’s coming for the rest of 2008 — the Bold (soon, please), the Javelin, the new Pearl, the Thunder. Yet we’re not entirely sure where or when they’re coming out in some cases. Thankfully, Mikeypants from BlackBerry News has some info on what T-Mobile will be bringing to the table for the rest of the year. Let’s have a gander.

First up is the Pearl 8220, a/k/a the Kickstart. I still like the latter name better, but I do realize that the Pearl branding likely comes from a marketing angle. Anyway, look for it around the end of September/beginning of October. The SureType flip device should come in an assortment of colors, and if sources are correct, should carry a price tag of $50 with a contract.

T-Mobile will also add to their colored Pearl arsenal, releasing models in Tahitian Green, Indigo, and Light Blue.

Then we have the Javelin, which appears to be a newer version of the Curve, at least as far as the keyboard goes. It will also act as the 2.5G counterpart to the Bold, even though T-Mobile should have a fairly large 3G network by October.

Looks like a fairly interesting launch schedule. I’ll be especially interested in how the new Pearl fares.
