Nothing like a BlackBerry release rumor to start up your week, right? Late last week, Kevin from CrackBerry published a roadmap for Rogers Wireless releases. This provides a basic idea of when the Canadian GSM monopoly will roll out its newest line of BlackBerry smartphones. First is on the list is the Bold, which is written in as July 25. That’s what we heard last week, though Kevin notes that this might be the press release date, and that stores will have it about a week later. Either way, we’re closing in on the release date.

Next up is the KickStart. That looks to be a September release, and the rumor, which we will irresponsibly relay, is that it will come with a $50 subsidized price tag. I’ve spoken plenty of ill about the KickStart and it’s lack of aesthetic beauty, but if it’s an entry level BlackBerry with a true entry level price, well, I’ll insert foot in mouth on the issue. Surely, if this is slated for a September release we’ll hear more about it, probably from RIM, in the next month or so.
Finally is the Javelin, which is looking at a holiday release. It looks like a Curve replacement, which is saddening. As I’ve said, I see more Curves than any other single BlackBerry model. Why take away something people are digging? Unless, that is, the Javelin is the next-gen Curve, and not just the non-3G Bold, as was rumored.
