The kind fellers at Boy Genius Report have scored again. This time, it’s a roadmap of Sprint’s device releases through the rest of the year and into 2009. Of interest to us: the BlackBerry 8350i. It’s in the Curve family, given the model number, and it’s set to drop in the fourth quarter of this year. I wonder how this will play out if Sprint ends up selling the iDEN network, as has been rumored. Anyway, the 8350i will features WiFi (woo hoo!), GPS, and an optional 2 megapixel camera. Spec sheet, courtesy of BGR, after the jump.

I think the Blackberry Curve 8350i is going to be a great phone! However, to add icing on the cake, I would give the backing of the phone a rubbery covering as well to make it more durable, the trademark of Nextel phones.
It will notmatter if sprint sells the iden network as their new direct connect devices do not use the iden netowrk for push to talk but use the sprint broadband network instead. All of their new DC devices are like this.they have no use for the iden network besides the sole nextel cusstomers on the network still for revenue, otherwise they would have already sold.
If anyone has any questions regarding the new 8350i for Nextel or would like to be updated as the launch of the product approaches, please contact me directly and i will get you information as it is released. I can also assist with the pricing of the product for both individuals and businesses alike. For questions or informaiton, please contact me at cpowell@vazcom.net
all i want to know is the price of the new blackberry. thanks!
Jonah, Don’t be an idiot! Do your homework. Sprint is still marketing new IDEN DC phones and aren’t customers on ALL providers networks just there for revenue? Do you think these wireless companies are non-profit businesses?
IDEN is a huge part of Sprint’s business plan. BTW learn to spell!!!!!
I will buy the new blackberry for myself and my wife. It is about time nextel has a phone like this, but im still waiting for nextel to come out with a touch phone. please do us all a favor and come out with an direct connect touch screen phone.
can you recieve text messages while on the phone?
