Is there anything Boy Genius Report can’t do? They were the first to tell us about the BlackBerry Kickstart and the BlackBerry Thunder, and led the field with the early Bold/9000 rumors. Today, they bring us evidence of the Javelin, the Kickstart, the Storm (Thunder), Seawolf, and Aurora.
First off, it lists the Thunder as the Storm, an early rumored name for it. However, screenshots from the same group also identify the Bold as the Meteor, which should indicate that all names suggested here are tentative.
While we know about the Kickstart, Javelin, and Thunder (though it’s still cool to see “Keyboard=Virtual” on the screenshot), there are a couple of models we haven’t yet seen. First is the Seawolf, which looks to be in the same series, 9100, as the Kickstart. The model is the 9110, which could suggest that the Seawolf will be the Pearl with GPS.
The Aurora, BGR speculates, could be a defunct model by now. It’s listed in the 8100 series, and carries the same device ID as the Storm/Thunder. I’m not sure what that means, but at a quick guess I don’t think we’re going to see this hit the light of day.
While this does little to sate our device appetites, it’s always encouraging to see RIM’s continuing development of new devices.
