Guest Post: Examining the BlueAnt Q1

Posted by Cooper on March 1, 2010

GeekReview: Solio H1000 Hybrid Solar Charger for BlackBerry

Posted by Cooper on January 20, 2010

The BlackBerry is the businessmans best friend. It helps them move away from their desks while still maintaining some kind of order and connection to the important activities that need to be carried out daily.

For many people this “always on” capability has modified their behaviour to such an extent that they simply can not leave the device anywhere that is not within arms reach. They have to check their email, they have to read just one more article or quickly scan Twitter or the BBM inbox. Admit it folks, you either know these people or you are one of them. That being said, I have just one question for you…

Do you take your BlackBerry camping with you?

Geek Review: SuperQWERTY BlackBerry Shortcut Application

Posted by Cooper on December 15, 2009

posterIf you are like me, you have a wide variety of BlackBerry applications installed on your device. Not only is this a drain on the available system resources but it can also become tedious to launch each one let alone remember what apps you have.

To combat this confusion, many BlackBerry owners rely on shortcuts to access their most used apps. There are a number of predefined shortcuts which can be used to navigate to certain parts of your Berry and there are methods that can be used to assign apps to the convenience keys on your device. Aside from that, most users are left out in the cold when it comes to easily navigating the constantly evolving landscape of their favorite smartphone.

Geek Review: Checking out the RexRegina Winston Case

Posted by Cooper on December 8, 2009

In the past few months we have written some solid articles about the various case options you have as a BlackBerry owner. Whether you have a Storm, Pearl, Curve, a Tour or a Bold, there are a wide variety of BlackBerry cases available to suit your needs.

Let’s face it though, buying a BlackBerry case online is often a hit and miss proposition. Many claim to be of the highest quality and yet when you get them in the mail you find that you have spent your hard earned cash on a cheapo plastic thingamajig that won’t protect your BlackBerry from a 1ft fall let alone real bumps and scratches.

Today we are going to check out a premium case from a company called RexRegina that is made specifically for the BlackBerry Bold 9000. They make cases for a number of other BlackBerry models but I have a 9000 so that is the one I decided to take a closer look at.

Posted by Cooper on July 8, 2009

So I got my new Bold after my last one kind of “walked away” on me. This new one, now that I have loaded all my 3rd party applications, themes and data is working just fine. Or it was working just fine I thought, until I tried out the GPS.

I set up all the settings that were required, I clicked to find my location and . . . nothing. An hour later, still searching for satellites =(
