Running through the comments of the past few days I found this one by Nick R.. He has an obnoxious globe logo next to his message icon, and wonders how to get rid of it. Honestly, I’ve never seen this logo before. Nick explained that he got it when he tried to load a webpage in a non-service area. His Bold prompted him to save the search so he could retrieve it once in a service area. Now he says it won’t go away. If you’ve had this problem, read on.

While many people will choose their provider based on the handset, others want to factor in the network before making a decision. We love Gmail here at BBGeeks. It’s not only my primary email account, but I have most of my other mail accounts filter through it. Not only is it convenient, but it also offers excellent spam filtering. Problem is, it also becomes a pain. When there comes a new device, there come hackers who want to use all of its capabilities. We saw this last summer with the unlocking on the original iPhone. The BlackBerry Storm presents an excellent hacking opportunity because of its dual radios. Get the GSM radio working, and you might be able to get it up on T-Mobile or AT&T in the U.S. It appears that one Howard Forum member was able to get it done. A little description after the jump.
