We’re getting closer to the release of the two most anticipated BlackBerrys of the season: the 9700 and the Storm 2. RIM announced the Bold 9700 this week, and we’ll see it on the usual GSM carriers. The Storm 2 is a bit of a curious case, with Vodafone making an announcement but not Verizon. Still, we know it’s coming, and as always there’s plenty to talk about.

Finally, the wait is over. The first carrier has unveiled the BlackBerry Storm 2, which will be available later this month. Sorry to the folks in the US, because it’s not Verizon, but instead Vodafone, which owns a large stake in Verizon. This, of course, means we have plenty to talk about, and you know what that means: A glass of wine, your favorite easy chair, and of course this BBGeekcast playing on your home computer system. So go on, indulge yourself. That’s right. Kick off your shoes, put up your feet, lean back and just enjoy the BlackBerry talk. After all, smartphones soothe even the savage beast.
