Absolutely - you can access all of your messaging services and carry out most web related activity on your Storm.

Hello, I have read through almos all of these, and found i am having the exact same problem as a few people (including "Ant"). I bought an unlocked blackberry storm off eBay, and activated it on VERIZON. Everything works except for the internet. There is not even an internet icon! :( I've tried both tech support and going into the store. Neither were helpful. They say it wont allow the "books" to push through so i can access the internet. Can anyone help me? ive tried everything. it would be MUCH appreciated!

Hey All,
I have a BB Storm and just got it unloacked by calling verizon. You DO NOT need to buy anything at all but simply need to know the right words to say.

Verizon would not just give out the code b/c u ask for it. Remember, they have a service where they charge users to use the phone if they are going abroad hence the reason they are not willing to just give away the code and lose out on the service they offer.

I acted very distraught b/c of a mistake they made on my bill and new that I wanted my phone unlocked. Since the CS rep. already new I was angry she had to tell me the truth when I asked. They simply gave me a number to call and get my phone unlocked. (Yes they still did send me an email to try to prevent me from going ahead, but it does not affect you plan in any way)

You cannot call the number direct though as they will pull up your file and see that a request was not put in before through their normal customer service reps. Follow the procedure to get that number and everything should go smooth from there.
Hope this helps.

First things first - I would wait a month or so before buying a storm - the new version is about to be released and it is much better than the first generation.

As far as setting it up , all you would need is a BlackBerry data plan from whatever carrier you are with. With that you will get all the functionality of the BlackBerry.

BlackBerry data plans are not the same as normal data plans.

So, I have an unlocked apple iphone and the screen is cracked, so I am looking to get a BB storm, but I don't know a thing about them. I was wondering if I purchased an already unlocked BB Storm, what would I have to do to get email and the internet working?
