To kick off last week, I expressed some disdain for the blurry image of the BlackBerry Thunder. It seemed like a huge bit of non-news that made it’s way all the way around the BlackBerry Internet circle. It turns out that it was just the housing, though realistically it could have been nothing but a shoddy ad image put up by a company trying to pre-sell some of these babies. Thanks to the Boy Genius Report, we now have what appears to be an actual image. It’ll be waiting for you after the jump.

As you can see, there are still plenty of physical buttons on the Thunder, which will hopefully add to the experience. The only downfall I can see is that the side “convenience” keys might be a bit obtrusive if you’re holding the phone around its edges.
All in all, it looks beyond awesome. It should definitely give some pause to Verizon customers who planned to switch to AT&T for the 3G iPhone. This looks like the real deal.
