I have this theme and really like it. I haven’t had any trouble with applications launching slowly like you mentioned. I do have the memory management application (MemoryUp) installed and it seems to keep everything running smoothly.

I found a much better iPhone theme titled bPhone and there is 3 different layouts which is great.
