@Avi Ofrane go into Options — Advanced Options — Applications, go to Vlingo, right click and select “edit permissions”, and change all 3 options to “allow”

You may need to do a battery pull after setting those options.

Installed Vlingo and loved it; but now suddenly a “Getting ready” message pops up followed by “Can’t record. Please try again”. I haven’t gotten a response to the trouble ticket from Vlingo yet. Very annoying.

I am absolutely not computer sauvy. I am a visual learner who needs someone to read instructions and recipes, however, the vlingo app is so easily activated that I did it all by my self. thank you very much

I agree with all the gushing EXCEPT FOR VOICE DIALING. 1. Did not interface with Bluetooth on my 8830; 2. Did not interface with keyboard lock (allowing me to dial even though keyboard is locked – required unlocking; 3. Impossible to use to dial while driving. (Does not call options back to you, so you must look at the screen. And the screen font is small and can’t be resized.)

Unfortunately for me, I use the native voicedialing program a lot and, although not perfect, it’s much better than vlingos (for the above reasons). Until vlingo solves these problems – or allows me to continue with my native voicedialing program, it is not useable for me.

I’ve been using Vlingo for about half a day on a BB 8330 and the transcription is quite impressive. The key words (i.e. send message, subject, search, etc.) are important for parsing. I have noticed that it is learning as I correct it. That’s pretty cool!
