Eye candy emerges for the BlackBerry Pearl 8220

Posted by Joe on August 26, 2008

It was so much more fun when we could call it the Kickstart. Hell, even the rumored SeaWolf name would have been better, too. Yet we’re stuck with just another BlackBerry Pearl. Well, I shouldn’t say stuck — many people are going to like the new BlackBerry flip phone. According to Cell Phone Signal, we should be seeing this roll out on the T-Mobile network in early October. We’ve been hearing dates ranging from mid-September to mid-October, so this makes enough sense. After the jump, some screen shots of the device, including the T-Mobile myFaves home screen.

I still say calling this a Pearl is a bad move. Side by side in TMO stores you will have 8120 Pearl and 8220 Pearl, and likely for almost the same price. Customer confusion will rule.
