As we mentioned earlier this morning, RIM is starting to roll out BlackBerry OS 5.0. If you have a BlackBerry Storm on Verizon, you can plug your device into Desktop Manager, on either the PC or the Mac, and it will prompt you to upgrade. It seems to have increased my phones performance, but I really hate the new messaging format. It is terrible. I would much rather have the old SMS messaging system back.

@Robert – loader.exe is a component of the Desktop Manager software. Some people have reported that the have the option to wireless upgrade from their device but I can not confirm that as I have no storm personally.

The OS exe download is available from Verizon if you want to upgrade with loader.exe versus desktop manager.
