Figures. Just as I finish up with the
BBGeekcast, more
specs are revealed for the
Kickstart. As predicted, it’s going to be a GSM model. BGR has pics with T-Mobile branding, so it looks like they’ll get the jump on this one. It’s just as well, since they’re not going to have the
9000 series for a while. As you would expect from a T-Mo release, it’ll have WiFi. Unfortunately, it looks like another EDGE release. I’m actually quite disappointed in this. With T-Mobile’s supposed ability to
seamlessly hand off between WiFi and their 3G network, you’d think that a BlackBerry with such capabilities would be a big seller. Alas, it’s stuck with EDGE, or at least that’s the word for now. Le sigh. BGR predicts a September release. We’ll keep up with any more news coming in on the Kickstart.
