Get ready for a clamshell BlackBerry

So I’m hanging around, chatting about trivial topics with some friends at 10 p.m., and my RSS hits with a post from Boy Genius Report. At this point in the evening, I usually just glance at the headline, and either mark it as read or open it in my browser for further study tomorrow morning. This time, I could do neither. That’s because this particular posts has exclusive photos of a soon to be released clamshell BlackBerry: The Kickstart. Quite the surprise, to say the least. A few pictures of the beast, plus the available details, after the jump.

As you can see, it’s got a camera. My guess is just another 2 megapixel model, but once again, that’s just a guess. Maybe RIM wants to step it up with this model, and make it more consumer-friendly.

And yeah, as you probably figured, it’s SureType. And, predictably, it will have trackball navigation.

Clearly, we’ll be spewing out more info on this as it comes. It’s a nice way to start your morning (or cap off your evening), eh?
