At this point, I have no idea what to expect from the Sprint Curve. We're getting different messages from everywhere.

The Flyer for Best Buys in CO, now what about the rest of the states? When I put in GA it states no information available? Are they releasing this phone on different dates, in different states?

It does seem like a curiously high price point considering its bigger cousin, the 8830, which you would expect to be more expensive, retails for $550. On the other hand, it does make sense since a subscriber now can technically stay out of contract forever, with incentives and discounted equipment being the only triggers to renew.
