I was on my way home from a conference the other week when I met a guy in the airport who was tapping away on his BlackBerry (no big shock there, so was I) and we got to chatting about BlackBerry additiction and he told me a funny story that I’m sure you BBGeeks will appreciate the same way I did.
I had mentioned to him, as I had stated in my recent BlackBerry editorial, that I think my constant usage is less of an issue because of having a significant other who was as BlackBerry dependent as I am.
He laughed and said that his wife used to constantly complain about his BlackBerry usage and it was definitely causing issues. But, he thought of a new way to handle it… he bought her one of her own.
He says she is now completely addicted to it and carries it everywhere and hates being without it even more than he does. So, if you’re having issues with your significant other, grab them their own BlackBerry and see if you can’t assimilate them. ;-)

Yea, and here’s where that backfired…I got my significant other a nice one a year ago, now she wants a newer one about every two months. :)
LOL… I upgrade only when a new model comes out I want… that said, I went with the 8800 and now kind of wish I had bought a curve… but I figure I’ll wait to the summer before getting another new one :)
