I love my Pearl. I got it from a girl at work who wanted a flip phone so I swapped her my Nokia N73 which I hated anyway.

To be honest, at first I was turned off a bit by the small size (I’ve had an iPhone and a Treo before the Nokia) but I’ve come to enjoy being able to fit it in a pocket. I can still watch videos, listen to music, get my email, browse the web and all the other crap I did with my old phones.

I still want a Bold though, just for the screen and the full keyboard.

Oh you missed out…

Three other reasons the Pearl seems girly…
1. It’s a woman’s name
2. It’s a jewel that women wear
3. Tampax’s ultra-compact goes by the same name

Not that there’s anything wrong with carrying a girly phone. And for the record, I prefer to call my bag a carry-all.

3 of the 4 personal BlackBerry devices I’ve had were SureType (7105, 7130, 8130).

I love the smallness of SureType devices, but am looking forward to getting a full QWERTY 8900 this year.

And yes, I’m a man.
