I also had the blackberry curve and the ‘F’ icon at the top of my screen was driving me mad.
I managed to get rid of it by opening/deleting all my messages or notifications on my facebook. I actually deleted them all including the message from blackberry ‘getting started’.
Finally got rid of ‘F’ icon.

Who knows how to delete the Facebook off your BB Curve that you downloaded? Ive done all the tricks…. 1.HARD rest… 2.Options > Advanced Options > Applications (but theres nothing about Facebook in there. and 3.Options …> Advanced Options > Service Book. (still nothing in there about Facebook) Does anyone know anything else I can do?

help!! i deleted the facebook apps from my application list, but the icon was there so i went to service books, but facebook wasnt in the list. What do i do?

I have done ALL of the above to get rid of these stupid icons – AIM, Yahoo Messanger, Google Talk, and the most effin ridicilous & USELESS – PocketExpress!
I have deleted the apps, went into Service Books & deleted just for them ALL to come back! I have also upgraded my OS and they STILL come back WTF do I have to do to remove these hidious icons!?!!!! Nobody has been able to help me yet….

the f icon is telling you of notifications, just delete the notifications through facebook on your mobile and it will go away

thank you guys so much. i tried everything to get the facebook icon off and deleted the service books and application from the list and it didnt work. i took out the battery and put it back it and it was gone!!! yay. thanks again

I tried the above steps and nothing worked (BlackBerry Curve) Icons are still there and applications are not deleted, even after going to Advenced Options and deleting the apps as well as deleting the Service Books … Probably have to totally reset the phone or reinstall the OS … this sucks

go into applications, and roll up to facebook, check the messages as read, and it goes away.

I have the blackberry STORM and for the life of me i CANT get the liffe “F” for facebook off the top of my screen. I searched my entire phone for hours did everything i could and i am still S O L anyone have the new blackberry storm and can give me some pointers please.
