Someone gives Minesweeper a bad review (::gasp::)

What does Minesweeper have to do with BlackBerry? It just so happens to be one of the newer offerings on the device from CamelMedia Soft. Yes, the bombs and flags that kept you occupied at work in the early 90s is back and ready to cut into your productivity once again. And it’s just $6.99 (we obviously preferred the free version that came on our PCs, but we’ll take what we can get). Of course, leave it to a reviewer to actually say something bad about this game.

Melissa Oxendale of PDA Street shares this tidbit about our favorite game:

“While the game worked overall, I was not impressed. The high score screen was hard to read because of the background. There was also a grammatical error on the screen you get when you win.”

You have to be kidding us. First off, who cares about a grammatical error? Dude, it’s Minesweeper. Second, who cares if the high score screen is hard to read? From the screenshot, it looks as if you can decipher who is on top. And really, that’s all that matters (if you’re not first, you’re last).

Now, Melissa, share your overall assessment of this fine game: “Although I was, overall, not impressed by the game, it played fine and could keep you entertained for hours.”

We think Melissa is not qualified to write game reviews. Minesweeper on the BlackBerry is nothing short of awesome. It’s about playing the game, not about elements outside the game.

Update: An alternative version of MineSweeper named MineField is available from the BBGeeks Store for $9.99.
