After we did our in-depth walk through of the Yahoo Go! application for mobile phones (including our beloved BlackBerry), we saw our comrades over at RIMarkable complaining that the application wasn’t working with the BlackBerry 8130:
The question has to be asked… Why in the world would Yahoo put out software that doesn’t run on the BlackBerry 8130. Say what you want about Verizon and SureType. The 8130 was one of the most eagerly anticipated BlackBerry devices ever.
While we wouldn’t call the 8130 the “most eagerly anticipated BlackBerry device ever” (we’re partial – very partial – to our qwerty keyboards) it definitely was one of the top most anticipated. ;-)
At any rate, we talked to a contact over at Yahoo and were told that while an exact release date for the version of the Yahoo Go! application that will be compatible with the Pearl 8130 device couldn’t be given, it is in the works and should be coming out soon.
