I also am familiar with the lack of GPS on Verizon phones, and my Treo 700p in particular. I do like the Google Maps application though. Since I can't find my location via GPS I can plug in a nearby intersection or address and search for nearby businesses. Maybe my next phone will be a BB...but that's only if Palm doesn't offer GPS before next May. Good breakdown of the TellMe service.
