I have the Bold 9700. On the menu there is always the option to "switch applications" is there any way or "App" that allows user to control which "Apps" you can switch to??

1: Google Maps (it's the first thing you should do, after putting in the battery an sim card of course)
2: BB Messenger (not sure why on earth this would not already come with the phone, but an essential)
3: Cameramuteapp (sorry I really hate the shutter sound, it's so unnecessary, I think it can also mute other apps quickly which is also handy)
4: Quickpull (I hate computers which freeze up)
5: Opera Mini (much better web browser)

Is it just me or does the Google Mobile Apps not work correctly on the Storm 1 (OS 5)?
I can't get it to work in landscape mode, and it doesn't react to the touchscreen as I would have expected.
Also, the YouTube app that I used to have it now MIA after upgrading to OS 5.
Is anyone else having problems with the Google Mobile suite? Any suggestions for a fix? Is there a specific version I should be looking for?
