Text’nDrive lets you hear, send emails while on the road

With more and more states cracking down on cell phone use while driving, it’s becoming tougher to get away with emailing when you’re on the road. Not that you should anyway. Distracted driving puts others at harm, nevermind yourself and anyone in the car with you. Still, you might have pressing business, and a commute seems like a great time to take care of correspondences. Thankfully we’re starting to see some applications that can not only read your emails, but also take voice dictation so you can reply on the go as well. Text’nDrive is the latest entrant. They just released a BlackBerry app that can help you be a bit more productive while in the car.

Text’nDrive can read email from your POP, IMAP, and webmail accounts. The BlackBerry app also includes the ability to read your SMS. All you have to do is boot up the app when you step in the car, and you’ll be ready to go.

If you’re ready to listen to your emails while on the road, you can get Text’nDrive for free. The bad news: the free version only reads your emails to you. Which, of course, is pretty nice to have for free. If you want the ability to compose by voice you’ll have to buy the Pro version for $19.99. That’s a one-time fee, so there are no per-message escalators.

Works great! Only thing I can find with free version is can’t hear message using bluetooth.

Just downloaded it and tested it. I was using DriveSafely but this app is way superior. The free version do what the paid version of Drivesafely is doing.

Email and SMS is cool, but what about BBM? I probably get more messages that way than the other two combined!
