Dude, this really ticks me off, especially because I’ve recently lost a number of contacts. When someone calls you and you later want to save that number, the process is fairly simple. You go to your call log, hit the Menu button while the name is highlighted, and select Add to Address Book. It’s a simple process, sure, but it leaves you stuck with the contact’s number as their work number. Not cool.

The truly savvy will take care of matters right there. They’ll highlight the work number, cut it, and then paste it into the appropriate field. For the rest of us, there’s SaveNumberAs, a cheap application which allows you to save numbers as mobile, home, or work. What a novel concept.

It’s priced at just $2.95, so it won’t set you back a ton. If this frustrates you and you just don’t want to do the copy and paste thing, I’d recommend it
