Have you ever faced a situation where you know you should send someone a text message or email, but would rather have it sent later? For many teenagers, that means sending the check-in text message to their parents. For cheating spouses, that’s sending a text message as an alibi. There are less devious purposes of a scheduled message, of course, but whatever your reason it’s something that is bound to come up. Scheduling delivery times is not a native feature of the BlackBerry, but BlackBerry Cool points us to an application that does it for you.
MessageSchedule is the application many of us have wanted for years. Some readers, I’m sure, already have it installed on their BlackBerry devices. For those who don’t, it’s worth a look. The application takes care of nearly all angles of postdating your text messages and emails.
Not only can you create, view, and edit scheduled email and text message, but you can set them to recur. If you need to check in with someone once an hour, you can set MessageSchedule to do that. You can also set emails to send from different addresses, rather than just the default, perfect for those who have multiple accounts on their BlackBerrys. You can also schedule replies and forwards.
And, if you’re really looking to streamline your emails, you can set up templates, which you can then schedule to send out at any time, as many times as you need, to as many recipients as you need.
You can get MessageSchedule in its newly released version 2.0 at the BBGeeks store for $9.99.
