Late on Friday the folks at Facebook released the latest build of their BlackBerry application. This is welcome news for many people who have been long awaiting these upgrades. We’ll have the upgrades after the jump, but first you can check out our BlackBerry Facebook application guide, which came out during the first build. It’s still a neat walk-through, and it’s something we’re going to update once we get into the nitty gritty of version 1.6.
Here’s what Facebook is touting for their new features:
- You can view your friends’ highlights — status messages, photos, comments, wall posts — right on the home screen.
- Access to friends’ walls without going to the mobile site.
- Improved photo viewing, including slide shows and commenting.
- Three new languages, including Thai, Indonesian, European Portugese.
